Foster Care Social Worker

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Foster Care Social Worker. This is a full-time position offers a starting wage of $17-20 per hour and requires occasional evening and weekend hours. The purpose of this position is to assess, license and support foster homes with a focus on relative/kinship families and communities of color. Over 80% of our foster families are families of color representing a disproportionate representation of youth in foster care needing a safe home. This position will also be engaged in recruiting families, training and operating culturally-appropriate foster care programs to provide high quality services to youth. The position requires in-depth knowledge of communities of color and a variety of cultures.

Under the general direction of the Programs Manager, this client services focused position works directly with individuals and families desiring to provide homes for children in foster care. This SW position also provides direct service to prospective and current adoptive families, prioritizing the client (child and parent) at all times. The worker provides home study assessments for foster care licensing and is responsible for supervising and monitoring placements.

Our foster care program is focused on recruiting / serving families who reflect the children in care who are primarily children of color; as well as licensing relative or kinship families to secure familial relations for children in the child protection system. The Social Worker in this position must be committed to this focused effort.

Minimum education required is a baccalaureate degree in social work or similar degree or a combination of equivalent experience and training. Our foster care program is focused on recruiting / serving families who reflect the children in care; who are primarily children of color. In addition, we license relative and kinship families in order to help reduce a child’s time in the child protection system and find permanency within the child’s circle of familiarity. The Social Worker in this position needs to be committed to this focused effort.

Accounting and Administrative Specialist

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Accounting and Administrative Specialist who will report to the Finance Director. This is a 32-40 hours per week position offering a starting wage of $16-19 per hour and a flexible schedule. The purpose of this position is to maintain complete and accurate financial and other business records needed for optimum operation; coordinate business operations of the agency related to human resources and office management.

Qualified candidates have earned an associate degree in finance or business, and have 2-5 years financial accounting and human resources experience in the nonprofit sector. They will also be proficient using Excel, Outlook and Word.

Licensed Mental Health Therapist

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Licensed Mental Health Professional, $44,000 – $52,000 starting salary depending on licensure level and ability to supervise social workers. This is a full time position with evening and weekend hours required (up to 3 nights weekly and 2 Saturdays a month). Under the general direction of the Programs Manager, this client services focused position works directly with families to promote reunification and break the cyclical and generational cycles of abuse and neglect via providing therapeutic supervised parenting sessions utilizing assessments, counseling and parenting skills training techniques with families involved in the child welfare system. Additional direct client work includes in-home therapeutic crisis intervention for families just entering the child protection system, focusing on preserving and supporting the family. Other duties include providing diagnostic assessments, safety and treatment plans, session and court reports, as well as regular phone communication with county workers.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and/or Intergenerational Family Therapy. Cultural understanding is necessary. This position will be in support of a program that will work primarily with African American and Native American families in the Twin Cities. Applicants must have knowledge of, connections to and familiarity with these communities of color. Must be a licensed LGSW, LISW, LICSW, LMFT, LP or LPCC with ideally experience in abuse and neglect and family crisis. Bilingual is a plus.

Adoption Process Intern

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Adoption Process Intern. The ideal candidate would be able to work 16-20 hours per week and be able to commit to a six month internship, however, a three month commitment is required. This position is based out of our Stillwater location. This is an unpaid position with a chance to gain valuable experience in the field of adoption.

Job Duties include: client intake, dossier assistance, home study process support, special projects as assigned, and general office duties.

High school diploma required. Bachelors Degree or Vocational/technical school degree and 2+ years of related office experience is preferred. Must be proficient with computers and have a high level of written and oral communication skills, as well as able to pass a criminal background check as required by Minnesota and Wisconsin law.
