Programs Director

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Programs Director. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30, with occasional evening and weekend hours, based out of our Stillwater and St. Paul locations. The primary role of EVOLVE’s Programs Director is managing the agency’s core programs in: Adoption, Family & Youth Services, Foster Care and Pregnancy Services. Working closely with agency Officers and in regular collaborative roles with the organization’s two other directors, the Programs Director is responsible for the operational success of these programs, ensuring program development, implementation, quality control and evaluation. This includes overseeing outreach in each program to engage the U.S. Congress, corporations and foundations, and the child welfare community in domestic and international adoption and foster care policy programming, as well as leading and managing several support staff and interns, and overseeing an annual budget of approximately $1.9 million.

Other Job Duties: Develop and maintain sensitivity to client and employee diversity in the work place. Behave in ways that demonstrate respectful treatment of other employees and clients. Develop cultural competence related to the services provided by the agency. Build community support for the organization by recruiting families, volunteers and donors.

Must have five years of experience in managing the delivery of mental health, adoption and/or foster care programs with Masters or Doctorate Degree in Social Work or similar field. Must be currently licensed as LISW, LICSW, LPCC, LP or LMFT. Qualified candidates will have excellent communication and customer service skills, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and commitment to EVOLVE’s Core Values, Core Focus, 10-Year Target, Marketing Strategy, 3-Year Picture, 1-Year Plan and Quarterly Rocks. Must be proficient with computers and have a high level of written and oral communication skills, as well as able to pass a criminal background check as required by Minnesota and Wisconsin law. Programs Manager ~ Adoption Program

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Programs Manager – Adoption. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30, with occasional evening and weekend hours, based out of our Stillwater location. Under the general direction of Directors and Officers, this position works collaboratively to ensure all Program Goals, Quarterly Rocks and Core Values are being met. They will manage staffing and operational tasks associated with program function and maintain, communicate and resolve related items on the Issues List. The main responsibilities of this position include: supervising adoption social service staff, ensuring the quality of home study assessments and post placement services across adoption programming; facilitation of pre-adoption education; serving as liaison to Central Authorities and in-country representatives; ensuring agency compliance with Hague, USICS, IAA and country programs; overseeing collaboration with international and domestic child placing agencies; providing counseling and support to families across the lifespan; and administrative duties related to the adoption process. Potential for providing back up support in pregnancy services programming.

Experience in adoption, pregnancy services, foster care, or child welfare preferred. Must have a master’s degree in social work and have current social work licensure in Minnesota or Wisconsin (LISW/LICSW). Must be proficient with computers and have a high level of written and oral communication skills, as well as able to pass a criminal background check as required by Minnesota and Wisconsin law. Must possess a valid driver’s license and provide a reliable means of transportation for the performance of work responsibilities.

Family Worker ~ Foster Care Program

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Family Worker – Foster Care. This is a full-time position with occasional evening and weekend hours required. Benefits include medical insurance, generous paid time off, 10 paid holidays, flexible schedule and other supportive benefits. The purpose of this position is to assess, license and support foster homes with a focus on relative/kinship families and communities of color. Over 80% of our foster families are families of color representing a disproportionate representation of youth in foster care needing a safe home. This position will also be engaged in recruiting families, training and operating culturally-appropriate foster care programs to provide high quality services to youth. The position requires in-depth knowledge of communities of color and a variety of cultures.

Cultural understanding is necessary. This position will be in support of a program that will work primarily with diverse families in the Twin Cities. Applicants must have knowledge of, connections to and familiarity with the Twin Cities communities of color. Minimum education required is a baccalaureate degree in social work or similar degree or a combination of equivalent experience and training. Our foster care program is focused on recruiting / serving families who reflect the children in care; who are primarily children of color. In addition, we license relative and kinship families in order to help reduce a child’s time in the child protection system and find permanency within the child’s circle of familiarity. The Social Worker in this position needs to be committed to this focused effort.

Must be proficient with computers and have a high level of written and oral communications skills, as well as able to pass a criminal background check as required by MN law. Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate needs to families and youth in placement. Ability to travel within Minnesota, primarily the Twin Cities. Must possess a valid driver’s license and provide a reliable means of transportation for the performance of work responsibilities.

Adoption Process Coordinator ~ 32 Hours

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Adoption Process Coordinator. This is a 32-hour per week position, based out of our Stillwater location. Office hours are primarily between Monday – Thursday from 8:00am – 4:30pm with occasional evening or weekend hours for training.

Job Duties include: Duties include assisting with training preparation, providing information on adoption to prospective clients via phone, email, and leading general information meetings, processing applications, recording accounts payable/accounts receivable in our database, domestic adoption program support, providing post adoption administrative assistance, and closing files. Other office duties including phone answering, opening and distributing mail, greeting clients, office supply ordering, and clerical support.

Bachelor’s degree or Vocational training (2+ years of equivalent experience can substitute for a degree or training), provides excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills, and attention to detail.  General knowledge of the adoption process is desirable but not required.  Must as able to pass a criminal background check as required by Minnesota and Wisconsin law.  Commitment to the agency’s mission and values is required.

Communications Specialist ~ 32 Hours

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Communications Specialist. This position offers a flexible schedule mostly within the hours of 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Friday, 32 hours a week out of our EVOLVE East Office in Stillwater. Occasional nights and weekends for special events, development meetings, and conference / trade show booth management are required.

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related degree that includes communications and marketing skill sets ~ commitment to EVOLVE’s mission and values.

The purpose of this position is to implement EVOLVE’s marketing and communication strategies to reach new client audiences, increase event attendance, and promote our programs and services. Duties include: development research and editing, social media management, online marketing, program and event marketing, electronic and print advertising.

Adoption Process Intern

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Adoption Process Intern. The ideal candidate would be able to work 16-20 hours per week and be able to commit to a six month internship, however, a three month commitment is required. This position is based out of our Stillwater location. This is an unpaid position with a chance to gain valuable experience in the field of adoption.

Job Duties include: client intake, dossier assistance, home study process support, special projects as assigned, and general office duties.

High school diploma required. Bachelors Degree or Vocational/technical school degree and 2+ years of related office experience is preferred. Must be proficient with computers and have a high level of written and oral communication skills, as well as able to pass a criminal background check as required by Minnesota and Wisconsin law.

Licensed Mental Health Therapist ~ Part-Time

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Licensed Mental Health Therapist. This is a part-time (approx. 12 hours weekly) position with evening and weekend hours required (1 night weekly and 3 Saturdays a month). Under the general direction of the Program Manager, this client services focused position works directly with families to promote reunification and break the cyclical and generational cycles of abuse and neglect. Over 90% of our clients are families of color representing a disproportionate number of youth in the child protection system. The position requires in-depth knowledge of the Native American and African American communities and their needs.

The purpose of this position is to provide therapeutic supervised parenting sessions utilizing assessments, counseling and parenting skills training techniques with families involved in the child welfare system. Sessions are 60-90 minutes long with group family time as well as individual time with the parent and most of the children, depending on age of child. Providing diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, session and court reports, as well as regular phone communication with county workers is required within the position so excellent verbal and written communication skills is necessary.
