Adoption Process Coordinator

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Adoption Process Coordinator. This is a 32 hour per week position, Monday-Thursday, 8:00-4:30, with occasional evening and weekend hours, based out of our Stillwater location. Starting pay hiring range is $16-18 per hour DOQ. Under the general direction of the Programs Manager, this position provides services to clients and supports social services staff. The main responsibilities of this position include: intake services, application and client services, record management, facilitation of education, and providing backup to other Process Coordinators.

The ideal candidate will have earned a 4-Year degree or have vocational training and equivalent experience substituting for a training. It is important to possess excellent communication skills and customer service orientation, attention to detail and commitment to the agency’s mission and values (adoption experience is desirable, but not required). Must be proficient with computers and have a high level of written and oral communication skills, as well as able to pass a criminal background check as required by Minnesota and Wisconsin law. Must possess a valid driver’s license and provide a reliable means of transportation for the performance of work responsibilities.

UMOJA MN Lead Teaching Position

Evolve is seeking qualified applicants for the lead teaching position for our UMOJA MN program. This is a contract position with a pay of $350 per camp. The Lead Teacher will work collaboratively with the Education Specialist to ensure all Program Goals and Core Values are being met for their classroom. Each Lead Teacher will be placed into a specific age group and will be responsible for guiding and teaching them throughout the Saturday portion of our weekend event.

Minimum of 2-3 years childcare and/or lead teacher experience (for infant, early childhood, school aged, Junior, or High School aged individuals). Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology. Preference given to those with personal or professional connections with the African American community, as well as those with adoption, foster care, and/or child welfare experience.

UMOJA MN is a Black Heritage camp created to empower adoptive, kinship, and foster families. UMOJA MN does this by providing a powerful weekend experience for the entire family, which includes adult learning opportunities, child and youth programming, as well as large group cultural celebrations. We are the only culture camp of this nature in Minnesota and one of only four nationwide. While only three days in length, it is our hope that this camp will springboard families into a lifelong pursuit of cultural competency, equipped to address subtle and overt forms of racism. This project is partially funded by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Human Services.

Licensed Mental Health Professional

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Licensed Mental Health Professional. The main responsibilities include working directly with families to promote reunification and break the cyclical and generational cycles of abuse and neglect via providing therapeutic supervised parenting sessions utilizing assessments, counseling and parenting skills training techniques with families involved in the child welfare system. Additional direct client work includes in-home therapeutic crisis intervention for families just entering the child protection system, focusing on preserving and supporting the family, and providing therapeutic support and intervention to licensed foster care providers. Other duties include providing diagnostic assessments, safety and treatment plans, session and court reports, as well as regular phone communication with county workers. Additionally, team members must work collaboratively with MSW interns, often teaming cases.

The ideal candidate will have two or more years of experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and/or Intergenerational Family Therapy. Cultural understanding is necessary. This position will be in support of a program that will work primarily with African American and Native American families in the Twin Cities. Applicants must have knowledge of, connections to and familiarity with these communities of color. Must be currently licensed as a mental health professional: LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LP. Experience delivering crisis services preferred. Two or more years experience in clinical services and experience supervising CTSS service providers is preferred, ideally experience in abuse and neglect and family crisis. Bilingual is a plus.

Adoption Process Intern

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Adoption Process Intern. The ideal candidate would be able to work 16-20 hours per week and be able to commit to a six month internship, however, a three month commitment is required. This position is based out of our Stillwater location. This is an unpaid position with a chance to gain valuable experience in the field of adoption.

Job Duties include: client intake, dossier assistance, home study process support, special projects as assigned, and general office duties.

High school diploma required. Bachelors Degree or Vocational/technical school degree and 2+ years of related office experience is preferred. Must be proficient with computers and have a high level of written and oral communication skills, as well as able to pass a criminal background check as required by Minnesota and Wisconsin law.
