Development Specialist

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Development Specialist with a starting rate of pay of $15.00 – $16.00 per hour depending upon qualifications. This is a 24-hour per week position, based out of our Stillwater location. Office hours are flexible and include occasional nights and weekends depending on event schedule, meetings or workshops.

Our new Development Specialist will maintain complete and accurate records needed for fundraising to support the Development Department goal of increasing revenues through fundraising events and activities. Job duties include assisting with fundraising events, development operations, fundraising research and volunteer coordination. Other office duties including phone answering, opening and distributing mail, greeting clients and clerical support.

The ideal candidate is a passionate nonprofit specialist experienced in using databases and technology as tools for fundraising. Must have excellent customer service skills, oral and written communication skills and attention to detail. Must as able to pass a criminal background check as required by Minnesota and Wisconsin law. Commitment to the agency’s mission and values is required.

Foster Care Family Worker

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Family Worker – Foster Care. This is a full-time position offers a starting wage of $16-17 per hour and requires occasional evening and weekend hours. Benefits include medical insurance, generous paid time off, 12 paid holidays, flexible schedule and other supportive benefits. The purpose of this position is to assess, license and support foster homes with a focus on relative/kinship families and communities of color. Over 80% of our foster families are families of color representing a disproportionate representation of youth in foster care needing a safe home. This position will also be engaged in recruiting families, training and operating culturally-appropriate foster care programs to provide high quality services to youth. The position requires in-depth knowledge of communities of color and a variety of cultures.

Under the general direction of the Program Manager, this client services focused position works directly with individuals and families desiring to provide homes for children in foster care. The Worker also provides direct service to prospective and current adoptive families, prioritizing the client (child and parent) at all times. The Worker provides home study assessments for foster care licensing. This person will also be responsible for supervising and monitoring placements.

Cultural understanding is necessary. This position will be in support of a program that will work primarily with diverse families in the Twin Cities. Applicants must have knowledge of, connections to and familiarity with the Twin Cities communities of color. Minimum education required is a baccalaureate degree in social work or similar degree or a combination of equivalent experience and training. Our foster care program is focused on recruiting / serving families who reflect the children in care; who are primarily children of color. In addition, we license relative and kinship families in order to help reduce a child’s time in the child protection system and find permanency within the child’s circle of familiarity. The Social Worker in this position needs to be committed to this focused effort.

Senior Lead Clinical Worker

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Lead Clinical Worker. This is a full-time position with a flex schedule (approximately 2 weekday evenings each week and 2 Saturdays each month). Under the general direction of Senior Programs Managers, this client services focused position works directly with families to promote reunification and break the cyclical and generational cycles of abuse and neglect via providing therapeutic supervised parenting sessions utilizing assessments, counseling, and parenting skills training techniques with families involved in the child welfare system. Other duties include providing diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, session and court reports, as well as regular phone communication with county workers.

The purpose of this position is to provide therapeutic supervised parenting sessions utilizing assessments, counseling, and parenting skills training techniques with families involved in the child welfare system. Sessions are 60-90 minutes long with group family time as well as individual time with the parent and most of the children, depending on age of child. Providing diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, session and court reports, as well as regular phone communication with county workers is required within the position so excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

In addition, this person will provide, in conjunction/coordination with other qualified staff, clinical supervision to mental health practitioners at EVOLVE.

Master’s Degree in Social Work and Clinical Social Work License required (LICSW). The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in clinical services post-licensure, with experience in abuse, neglect, and family crisis counseling.

Adoption Process Intern

EVOLVE is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Adoption Process Intern. The ideal candidate would be able to work 16-20 hours per week and be able to commit to a six month internship, however, a three month commitment is required. This position is based out of our Stillwater location. This is an unpaid position with a chance to gain valuable experience in the field of adoption.

Job Duties include: client intake, dossier assistance, home study process support, special projects as assigned, and general office duties.

High school diploma required. Bachelors Degree or Vocational/technical school degree and 2+ years of related office experience is preferred. Must be proficient with computers and have a high level of written and oral communication skills, as well as able to pass a criminal background check as required by Minnesota and Wisconsin law.
