EVOLVE offers a variety of services available to county workers to assist them in providing services to families and youth involved with child protection. All services are provided by skilled staff who are culturally competent and strength focused.

Child Focused Recruitment

EVOLVE’s Child Focused Recruitment program provides individualized, intensive services to Minnesota foster care youth. Our recruiters are able to work with youth prior to a termination of parental rights (concurrent recruitment) or after (traditional recruitment), making our program unique.

Social Medical History Writing

A detailed up-to-date social medical history summary is required for children entering foster care. Oftentimes, counties are unable to keep up with this requirement due to high workloads. EVOLVE is able to assist counties by writing these summaries in compliance with Minnesota state statutes. We understand the importance of providing a child with their family medical and genetic history information, as well as providing full disclosure information to families considering adoption of a foster child.

Services are provided at two levels depending on the needs of the family: Supervised Parenting or Therapeutic Supervised Parenting.

Families experiencing crisis benefit from intensive in-home services EVOLVE offers two types of services to support families with children at significant risk of harm or out-of-home placement as a result of abuse, neglect, parenting difficulties, mental health issues, or domestic violence: Brief Counseling Services and Families First.

These sessions can be held at a variety of locations, including EVOLVE sites in St. Paul and North Minneapolis, in communities reflective of the culture of the population being served.

Supervised & Therapeutic Supervised Parenting

EVOLVE is able to provide three levels of services ranging from Monitored Visitation to Therapeutic Supervised Parenting.

Monitored Visitation is chaperoned, but unsupervised. This level allows time for an EVOLVE team member and the parent/caretaker to reflect on past visits, lessons learned, and planned interaction for the current visit before spending time with the child(ren). The EVOLVE team member remains on site and available for intervention and interaction, as needed.

Supervised and Therapeutic Supervised Parenting focus on safety and strengthening parent-child interactions to improve chances of family reunification and are provided at two levels depending on the needs of the family: non-therapeutic or therapeutic.
