Connections Program

Ongoing
EVOLVE now has a program to help connect individuals in Minnesota and western Wisconsin who have shared similar experiences. It’s called Connections, and it’s goal is to bring together adoptive parents, adult adoptees, birth parents, foster parents, pre-adoptive parents, and more!

Community Connections events create a space to come together face-to-face with other parents, families, and prospective families in the local foster and adoption community, to share stories and support and to build lasting connections with one another.

Disclosure: By participating in the Connections Program, you are agreeing to the following: “The information I share in this group will remain confidential, with some limited exceptions. If EVOLVE staff or the facilitators of the group reasonably suspect that a child or vulnerable adult is a victim of abuse or neglect, or a pregnant woman is using alcohol or controlled substances, we are required by law to disclose private information which identifies you to a public authority.”

Parenting Children in a Diverse Society

Through small group discussion, lecture, and question-answer, participants explore what ethnic minority children need from their parents, siblings and other caring adults in order to grow up with strong self-esteem. Check out our Parenting in a Diverse Society flyer!

Who Should Attend: This is open to the general public.

Cost: Free for EVOLVE clients; $50 per family (up to 2 adults) or $50 per professional
