A Global Issue
Thousands of children all over the world are growing up without a family of their own. These children, many of whom live in large orphanages with other kids, are all waiting for a permanent, loving family to care for them and provide them with the support they need in life.
EVOLVE is passionate about international adoption and the long-standing relationships we’ve established with countries all over the world. We work hard to ensure each international adoption is carried out both empathetically and ethically.
The Countries We Work With
Over the years, EVOLVE has established and maintained relationships with a few countries around the world. The programs we have in these countries have grown over many years of hard work, commitment, and understanding. Here are the countries we work with:
Along with our direct programs, we have established strong relationships with other internationally-focused agencies here in the United States that will allow us to work with even more countries around the world. Here are the other agencies we work with:
Holt International Children’s Services – For over 5 decades, Holt International, has helped thousands of orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable children to thrive by finding families to love them. Holt is a model for international adoption, helping formulate the Hague Convention and continuing to raise the standard of care provided to homeless and at-risk children throughout the world.
World Association for Children and Parents (WACAP) – WACAP’s vision is A Family for Every Child. WACAP is a leading adoption and humanitarian aid agency. Since 1976, they’ve placed over 10,000 children with loving adoptive parents and provided food, medical care and education to more than 200,000 children worldwide.
Nightlight Christian Adoptions – Nightlight Christian Adoptions is a full-service, Hague accredited child placement agency. Nightlight is currently offering international adoption assistance all over the world.
The Countries – Here are the countries we connect with through these collaborating agencies:
Ethical Practices in Place
In March of 1994, The United States signed an international treaty created by The Hague Convention. This treaty was created to ensure that international adoptions are in the best interests of children and to prevent abduction, exploitation, sale, or trafficking of children. The Convention generally requires that agencies and persons be accredited or approved to provide adoption services for international adoptions when both countries involved are parties to the Convention.
EVOLVE is proud to be a Hague accredited agency, meaning we meet the standards of this treaty and pledge to work with international agencies who are also accredited by Hague. EVOLVE is committed to working with Hague accredited international agencies that place children transparently and ethically.
The Process, Timeline, and Application Requirements
Due to the unique laws, procedures, and governing entities in each country, it is difficult to give generalized timelines, program processes, or personal requirements for the various countries. In order to have a more accurate idea of what to expect when adopting an international child from a specific country, contact us.
