Kevin works full time for his family’s business, as a Sales Consultant and Safety Coordinator. Amy works full time for a Title Company as a Closing Assistant.
We both love to spend time with our families. We like spending time with friends, enjoying the outdoors, taking our dogs out for walks, going to movies, traveling, spending time on our boat in the summer. In his own time, Kevin enjoys little handy man projects, fishing… In her own time, Amy enjoys reading, doing DIY projects, and relaxing. Our favorite travel spot is the Brainerd Lakes area.
Plans for Working/Daycare:
Amy plans to take 2 months off of work right away. Kevin plans to take some time off of work as well, the amount of time has not been determined yet. Our goal is to find an in-home daycare once Amy has to go back to work.
We are both in good health
We are both White

We are open to any Ethnicity!
Kevin is 33 and Amy is 32
Kevin is Catholic, and Amy is Lutheran. Though, neither of us actively participate in our religions at the moment.
Plans for Number of Children:
Ideally, we would like to have 2 children.
We have a 14 year old Lab/Collie mix named Sophie. She is a sweetheart and loves people and kids. She has slowed down with her older age, but she is still spunky and loves to play. We also have a 7 month old Miniature Long Haired Dachshund named Dexter. He’s a fun little guy to have around, and loves attention. He’s great with people and kids, and loves to have someone to play with.
We both grew up in Scandia, and originally met through a mutual friend that Amy worked with. We reconnected a few years later and started dating. We spent as much time together as we could, which was a bit difficult at first. We were working opposite shifts, which wasn’t super convenient. But, we made it work just fine. After about 2 years, Kevin proposed, and we were married almost 2 years later in 2009.
About Kevin by Amy:
Kevin is wonderful guy, who everyone can count on. He is a super handy guy, and often has side projects that he is working on for various friends and family. His sense of humor is awesome, and he is a great person to be around. Every time he is around kids, he has the biggest smile on his face. He loves getting down to their level to play with them – he can get as goofy as they do! He told me a few years ago that he would give anything to be a dad. I think that he’ll be an amazing father, and I can’t wait to watch him transition into that role.
About Amy by Kevin:
Amy grew up in a very close family, and it makes me excited to start our own family so we can bring those values into our home. She is naturally a loving and caring person, which is one of the things that drew me to her. She has a hilarious sense of humor, and is always making me laugh. She loves kids – and is a great aunt to her niece and nephews. She is going to be a wonderful mom, and our kids will never have to doubt her love for them.
From Both of Us:
We are so excited to become parents. People say that you’re never ready to have kids, but we beg to differ. We have never felt more ready to shower a little one with our love, guide them through life the best we know how, and help them grow in to the individual that they want to be. We love the idea of an Open Adoption, and we hope to have a great relationship with the birth parent(s).
