Our Story
We met our senior year in college in 2009 at a small school in the Kansas City, Kansas. We became friends and eventually decided to start dating a few months later. In 2011 we got married in the Kansas City area amongst our wonderful family and friends. We moved to the Minneapolis suburbs for the first 5 years of our marriage before spending a few years living abroad in Europe. In 2019, we moved back to Minnesota and soon after bought our current home. We are also very involved with our church. It is a big part of our lives as it is where we have met a lot of our friends and are involved in various activities. We also love the diversity that makes up our church congregation. We find that our faith is a rock to cling to when the world feels so uncertain.
When we became friends in college we discovered that it was a common desire of us both that we had a desire to eventually adopt. After moving back from the Netherlands and feeling settled in our lives we decided to embark on the adoption journey. We have several friends who have gone through the adoption process and have been very open about their adoption journey and experiences.
