Our Story

Ryan grew up in the Anoka area, playing rugby and football in high school. After high school, he went to college for EMT and Firefighting, but once finished he joined the Navy. While in the Navy, he was a police officer & K9 handler – he was stationed over seas for a few years. When he ended his Navy career, he started his own company training dogs. He grew up with two older brothers and a younger sister, hunting, fishing and playing sports.

Marianne is from Nebraska and moved to Minnesota when she was 12 due to her dad’s job changing. She grew up in the Woodbury area, and participated in dance and volleyball. She went to school for Early Childhood Development and is currently an Executive Assistant for an outdoor company and LOVES it. She grew up with an older and younger brother and cats.

We met through an online dating site and found out that we had a mutual friend. We started dating shortly after and we were married October 2012. Since we both grew up with siblings, we always wanted a family with three or four children. A year after we were married, we wanted to create our family, but after a year of trying to do so, we learned that we would need a lot of prayer and some science to accomplish having children. We found out we were pregnant with Hunter after our fourth IUI attempt and learned that he had a twin, sadly we lost his twin brother early in the pregnancy.

About two years later we wanted to try again, but after many failed IUIs and them moving on to IVF and more loss we decided that God blessed us with Hunter and that he was really telling us that it’s time to pray about adoption. Adoption has always been something that we talked about, but I also wanted to experience pregnancy. Once we FINALLY listened to God’s plan, everything fell into place.

Jonah Wyatt was born December 2018 and placed in our arms January 2019. We have an AMAZING open relationship with his birth family, and we see them regularly. We celebrate birthdays and holiday together and try and get together often. We share updates, pictures and videos through the Tinybeans app.

We live north of Minneapolis and LOVE our big backyard! We have a huge playset and a ninja course that the boys are always on. We live on a cul-de-sac and have lots of parks and paths near by that we use regularly.

We still feel that a piece of our family is missing, and we are praying that God will bless us again with another tiny human or humans.

A Message From Us Both

We want to start by saying thank you. Thank you for taking the time to consider us, thank you for your unimaginable strength and courage; you are an amazing blessing.

It is our prayer that this gives you a picture of what our family would be like for this little one. They will be raised in a Christ centered home, with unconditional love from our family, extended family and many friends. They will grow up with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins nearby to play with, celebrate birthdays, holidays and will become lifelong friends.

This child will know about you; they will know that you love them. We pray for you and continue to pray for you, the love for a child is unconditional and for forever.

Again, thank you for your consideration of our family. We would be truly honored and blessed to be this little ones family.

With Love,
Ryan, Marianne, Hunter and Wyatt
