Give to the Max Day

Give to the Max Day is celebrated this year on November 19th. This is a 24-hour time period that recognizes all that schools and nonprofits do for the community. This is an annual day in Minnesota that inspires communities to come together and support schools and nonprofits by giving online donations. Especially this year during the COVID- 19 pandemic, many agencies are struggling. It is important that during these difficult times we are supporting schools and nonprofit agencies if we are able. This day of celebration was created by GiveMN, which is a nonprofit that was founded in 2009. This will be the 11th year that this event is observed. Over the past 10 years, over $190 million has been raised to help support 10,000 schools and nonprofits throughout the state of Minnesota.

Give to the Max day offers many opportunities for donations to go farther and to better support the organization of your choice. For example, there are many opportunities to win prizes. During this event, donors are eligible for a “golden ticket”. This ticket adds either $500 or $1,000 to your donation. These tickets are randomly drawn out throughout the day. Since 2009, GiveMN has given more than $2 million in prizes during this 24-hour celebration.

We understand that COVID-19 is impacting everyone in different ways. Like many other nonprofits in Minnesota, EVOLVE Family Services continues to serve children and families within the community while also navigating the many struggles with the pandemic.

Many of our families are waiting to finalize their licensure, as processes have been delayed. Our international services and supports have been halted with limited ability to travel. Our new Mental Health/Therapy program launched right before a pandemic and had to move immediately to provide telehealth options. There have been unforeseen expenses related to Personal Protective Equipment, supplies, and technology upgrades to keep operating as an essential provider during this pandemic. Fundraising has also been a challenge this year, as we cannot host in-person events that provide significant revenue support for our programs.

We are continuing to support families during this difficult time. We need support from the community now more than ever. Our goal this year is to raise $3,000. To the right, there is an image that shows what your donation would be going towards at EVOLVE.
